Roy and Shirley are delighted to offer you a warm and friendly welcome to their lovingly restored three storey Tuscan home - Casa Marchi.
Casa Marchi offers three superb double rooms and two single adjoining rooms; all have modern en-suite shower rooms, with an abundance of hot water. Plenty of space for up to 8 people (plus cot for a baby and a futon for child under 10). WiFi also available.
Wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and a fantastic Tuscan breakfast using fresh seasonal ingredients. As an optional extra, Roy can cook an evening meal on arrival or to come home to after a day's trip. Roy also offers a cookery school. An oasis of tranquility, Casa Marchi is situated within the medieval town of Gombereto, in the hills 4km above the historical spa town of Bagni Di Lucca. (Please note: A car is a necessity due to our location). Situated within easy reach of Pisa, Florence, Lucca and the Ligurian coast. Gombereto is linked to 23 hamlets and mountain top villages by ancient walkways making it a great destination for mountain bikers, hikers and nature lovers.
Cycling groups are most welcome, we offer some challenging routes for both road and off-road bikes. In the Spring and Summer months we also offer 1 week accommodation/itinery for cycling groups on a full board basis. View our "On your bike - Discover Tuscany page more details.

The local area around Casa Marchi offers some challenging routes for both road and off-road bikes. With this in mind, we are now pleased to announce a new cycling experience package during the Spring and Summer months. We offer 1 week itinerary for cycling groups on a full board basis.
Cookery School
These fun yet informative tutorials can be tailored to your own requirements. Examples on offer are basic kitchen skills, presentation, Italian classics, butchery, soups, terrines, fish and game. These are full hands on sessions where students will prepare and eat their own two or three course dinner with a glass of wine. Booking is essential.
